Compare electric rate schedules using your locations' actual usage
A site's current electric rate schedule may no longer be its best fit. RateAcuity's Profile Rate Report uses 12 months of billing and usage information to model charges under selected alternate schedules from the same distribution utility. Analyze multiple locations in a single upload and identify schedules worth a closer review.
| Selected schedule | Qualify Y/N | Modeled delivery, 12 mo | Cost/kWh |
|---|---|---|---|
| A15, A17, A19 · Secondary | Y | $18,714.81 | 0.07368 |
| A09, A10 | Y | $33,804.27 | 0.13309 |
| A16, A18 · Standard Metered or Unmetered | Y | $31,044.34 | 0.12222 |
| A12 · Time of Day Metered | Y | $30,197.92 | 0.11889 |
Identify rate schedules worth reviewing across your locations
Multi-location operators and energy consultants often have the billing history they need, but checking alternate tariffs site by site takes extensive research and calculation. The Profile Rate Report applies that history to the schedules you select and returns a consistent Excel file, so your team can triage a portfolio and decide which sites deserve a closer rate review.
Four steps from usage file to comparison
Prepare
Gather 12 months of site billing and usage information, including monthly usage and demand details where applicable.
Select
Choose the state, distribution utility and alternate schedules to compare. All sites in a run must be served by the same utility.
Upload
Submit your file through the RateAcuity portal. Multiple sites can go in one file when all are served by the same utility.
Analyze
Download Excel results with your uploaded usage and actual costs, preliminary qualification flags, and modeled delivery charges by schedule.

Reading the results
Comparisons use the submitted usage profile and the selected utility's rate schedules. Qualification flags are preliminary. Confirm eligibility, relevant charges and any rate change directly with the utility. Modeled delivery figures should not be interpreted as verified savings against an all-in billed amount.
Triage many sites at once
Multi-site retail
The product was first developed to evaluate numerous retail locations on the same utility.
Franchise and commercial portfolios
Prioritize which locations deserve a rate review before committing analyst time.
Energy service firms
Start customer rate reviews from a consistent Excel file instead of hand-built calculations.
What the results can establish
Point you to schedules worth reviewing
- Model delivery charges under each selected schedule
- Flag apparent qualification as a preliminary Y/N
- Compare cost per kWh across schedules on the same usage
- Cover multiple sites on one utility in a single run
Per-user access
What is and isn't included
Can I analyze several sites together?
Yes. Multiple sites can be uploaded in one file when all of them are served by the same distribution utility.
Does the report switch a location to a different rate?
No. It provides comparative calculations for further review. A rate change requires separate assessment and action with the utility.
What is the difference between Actual Cost and the Delivery figures?
Actual Cost comes from the bills you upload. The Delivery section contains RateAcuity's modeled charges for each selected schedule. They measure different things and should not be subtracted to calculate savings.
Is this a finished client-facing presentation?
No. The output is an Excel analysis file intended to support your team's decisions or downstream reporting.
