Xcel Energy (Southwestern Public Service Company) has filed a petition with the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission requesting an overall revenue requirement of $410 million. This represents an increase in base revenue of $87 million, or 21.17%.


The proposed rates were scheduled to become effective on February 3rd, 2021, and would affect all customers taking service in the state of New Mexico; the Commission has an additional 9 months from the date of filing to make a final ruling on the rate case, however, and has scheduled the final public hearing for this proceeding to take place July 26th through Aug 6th, 2021.
