El Paso Electric has filed a petition with the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission requesting an increase to its net operating revenue of $6.879 million, or 6.1%. This increase will affect all customers taking service in the state of New Mexico beginning May 16th, 2021.
For average customer taking Residential Service, the monthly bill increase will be 12.17%. For Small General Service and General Service, a reduction of -5.58% and -1.70% will be seen, respectively. Lastly, for Large General Service, an approximate increase of 3.43% will be implemented. The proposed tariff can be seen in its entirety here.
