Avista Corporation has filed a petition with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission requesting an increase in natural gas revenues over a 2-year period. The original request for the first year was for $52,000, or 0.1%, beginning September 1st, 2021. The request for the second year was for $1 million, or 2.2%, beginning September 1st, 2022.
Parties to the case have agreed to a different settlement, however. This settlement keeps the same 2-year timeframe but agrees that the natural gas base revenue be decreased by $1.6 million, or 3.7%, for the first year, and then increased by $0.9 million, or 2.2%, for the second year.
